August has snuck up on us again! While many school-aged children view this sunny month as the official “Part 2” of summer vacation, others are hearing the familiar sound of the 8:55 bell creeping up on them. Just as it is difficult for adults to return to work after two weeks lounging at the lake, kids too can experience challenges adjusting to a new schedule (whether it is familiar or not). School is a job too! Fear of increasing academic expectations, questions about class placements, problems with teachers, and post-pandemic unknowns are just a few worries that are circulating the minds of both our elementary and secondary students.
School days, school days. Dear old golden rule days. Admit it: you’re just a little excited too!
